A Space to Belong. A Place to Grow. Empowered by Connection.
Therapist in Raleigh, NC
Sydney Jasper founded Jasper Psychotherapy & Co. because she believes every child, teen, and young adult navigating emotional or behavioral struggles deserves a safe space to feel seen, heard, and supported. Her passion for this work grew not only from years of training, but also from lived experience. She understands how overwhelming perfectionism, pressure, and emotional struggles can feel without the right support. She carries that perspective into her practice, offering families a space where they don’t have to hold it all together.
Sydney holds dual master’s degrees (MSEd, MPhilEd) from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Youth Mental Health Specialist. Her specialties include behavioral issues, emotional challenges, parenting support, and family support.
She draws from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and play therapy for younger children. More importantly, she believes real change happens when kids and families feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow.
Many families Sydney works with have bright, capable kids — some holding it together on the outside, others showing their struggles more openly. Behind the scenes, these young people may feel anxious, highly self-critical, or weighed down by emotional and behavioral challenges, sometimes rooted in overwhelming or traumatic experiences. Parents often describe feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or even judged for not having the answers. Sydney’s goal is to walk alongside families, offering both kids and caregivers practical tools, parent coaching, deeper insight, and a renewed sense of hope.
She works with children, teens, and young adults who face anxiety or trauma, wrestle with school-related stress or fear of failure, and often feel overwhelmed by intense emotions. For young adults, this may mean identity questions, burnout, or the pressure to “figure it all out.” For caregivers, it often means support in reducing conflict, strengthening connections, and feeling more confident in their role. Sydney also collaborates with schools and providers when helpful, ensuring care is consistent and holistic across home, school, and community.
Above all, her mission is to help families feel less alone and more hopeful about the path ahead. Outside the therapy room, she recharges through fitness, outdoor adventures, good books, time with her dog, and loud football games (Go Birds!).

My Philosophy
It takes a village to raise a child— in my office, you have that village. Here, your child matters. You matter. If I can help even one young person feel truly supported and one parent feel a little less overwhelmed, then I know I’ve done my job.
